Plenary Description
As we move into the second decade of intelligent energy, it has
become obvious the competencies required need to be the technical
and IT mix we might call a “digital engineer”. As we
change the way we operate our business and as the knowledge base
continues to shrink across the Upstream, a new breed of engineer
will need to emerge to meet the challenges ahead. We’ll
discuss some of the challenges and mitigations, such as
restrictions of today’s processes and mindsets, understanding
what is truly possible, designing and developing new methods of
enhanced decision-making, automating workflows, and then
demonstrating value from integrating those workflows.
We’ll have a few viewpoints offered addressing our needs
going forward, then conduct an open panel discussion with Q&A. |
